Stove Features Explained

The design team behind Hamlet stoves have a combined experience of over 45 years. They have developed many features to offer outstanding performance, safety and cleaner burning. At the heart of the stoves is our superior clean burn airwash system; as well as keeping the fire door sparkling clean, it increases the efficiency of the stove and keeps the chimney and the environment cleaner.

PADS

No other manufacturer offers a complete system to maximise the efficiency and environmental impact of both wood and solid fuel. We call it PADS (Primary Air Diversion System). It allows an under draught of air beneath solid fuel, or an over draught for wood, ensuring that each fuel burns in its favoured environment.

Secondary and Tertiary burn

The secondary burn system controls the flow of air within the stove. It circulates air back into the stove to allow any unburnt gases to re-ignite, resulting in extra heat being generated, a cleaner chimney and a cleaner environment.

For wood burning, the tertiary burn system introduces hot air into the firebox, directly at the heart of the stove. This then ignites the unburnt gases and results in greater efficiency, a cleaner chimney and less pollution.

Pre-heated airwash

With over 20 years experience, Hamlet’s airwash systems are proven in the market place. Hamlet stoves draw in air that’s already hot from the front of the stove to a cleverly designed chamber at one of the hottest points. This incredibly hot air is channelled evenly across the fire door to keep the door glass sparkling clean.

Kooler to Touch Handle

No matter how hot the temperature of the stove, the kooler to touch fire door handle remains cold to enable easier refuelling.

DEFRA Exemption

Defra Exempt logo

Our DEFRA Exempt stove has been developed for use in smoke control zones as set out by DEFRA. They have been approved for use within smoke control areas, providing the user with the opportunity to burn wood.
